The SWK Carbon 1.5 / 13 / 85 Y30 is designed for riders who demand maximum control and speed at the highest performance level. Compared to the SWK Carbon Mast 1.8 / 13 / 85, its profile is 3 mm thinner, reducing drag and enhancing responsiveness, the perfect setup when riding smaller front wings or aiming for top-end speed. Built with the same 100% M40 Hi-Modulus carbon construction as the SWK Carbon series, it uses an optimized layup of unidirectional (UD) and biaxial prepreg fibers to achieve minimum flex and torsion. The result is a lightweight, ultra-stiff, and precise mast that provides a direct and stable connection to your foil, delivering the controlled, locked-in feeling that pro riders love. The newly reinforced plate design increases durability and impact resistance, ensuring long-term strength and reliability, even under heavy loads and high jumps.

SWK CARBON MAST TECHNOLOGY

Built with an exclusive high-density acrylic foam core, it achieves an optimal balance between lightweight construction and rigidity. The mast is laminated with TORAY® M40J Hi-Modulus carbon fibers, using a mix of unidirectional (UD) and biaxial layers to maximize strength, stability, and torsional stiffness. The 3K carbon outer finish ensures a perfectly smooth and durable surface.

With a tensile modulus of 54.7 Msi and a tensile strength of 640 Ksi, the TORAY® M40J carbon is one of the best PAN-base fibers available, used for premium sports applications requiring superior stiffness and control.

Please note: the M40J carbon fibers from Toray® are among the most advanced and expensive available, with limited production and longer lead times. While lighter carbon masts can be made using lower-grade fibers, they often compromise on torsional and side stiffness. For hydrofoiling, the key to performance is stiffness, ensuring durability, precision, and confidence in every ride.
