RRD x Windseeker

Defender Windseeker is the result of a unique collaboration, born from the desire to unite the classicism and unstoppable capabilities of a timeless icon like Land Rover with RRD’s deep expertise in watersports and clothing. First presented at the Porto Cervo Yacht Club and Costa Smeralda Waterfront in Sardinia, the project introduces a new vision of mobility rooted in performance and lifestyle.

Developed with the Land Rover Italy team, this special edition of the Defender 110 is designed for watersports enthusiasts and features a range of custom accessories, from a roof made of wind and water repellent fabric that fully opens to check wind and waves conditions, to a built-in shower, exterior storage for wetsuits, and a compressor for inflating boards, kites, or wings.

The project takes inspiration from the Beaufort Scale, a historic wind and waves classification chart essential to every sailor. RRD reinterprets this maritime legacy through design elements such as exterior graphics that map out Mediterranean isobars, and a readable scale on the vehicle’s side to help interpret wind and wave conditions on the go.
