SWK CARBON MAST TECHNOLOGY
Built with an exclusive high-density acrylic foam core, it achieves an optimal balance between lightweight construction and rigidity. The mast is laminated with TORAY® M40J Hi-Modulus carbon fibers, using a mix of unidirectional (UD) and biaxial layers to maximize strength, stability, and torsional stiffness. The 3K carbon outer finish ensures a perfectly smooth and durable surface.
With a tensile modulus of 54.7 Msi and a tensile strength of 640 Ksi, the TORAY® M40J carbon is one of the best PAN-base fibers available, used for premium sports applications requiring superior stiffness and control.
Please note: the M40J carbon fibers from Toray® are among the most advanced and expensive available, with limited production and longer lead times. While lighter carbon masts can be made using lower-grade fibers, they often compromise on torsional and side stiffness. For hydrofoiling, the key to performance is stiffness, ensuring durability, precision, and confidence in every ride.
