The Flying Fish HA is RRD's high aspect ratio front wing, built for riders who want to push their downwind sessions to the next level. With an aspect ratio above 14, a foil profile optimized for glide efficiency and its unique full 40 and 60 MJ high modulus carbon prepreg construction the Flying Fish HA delivers an unmatched combination of endless glide, efficient pumping and responsive carving thanks to its special stifness . Available in three sizes — 750, 900 and 1050 cm² — it covers a complete range from fast, openocean downwind runs to light wind pump-and-glide sessions.

    Extreme hi aspect ratio, endless glide, with an AR between 14.7 and 14.9, the Flying Fish HA is engineered to generate lift with minimal drag. Every pump translates into forward distance covered, every bump becomes an opportunity for extended flight. Whether you are linking swells on a downwind run or hunting the perfect glide on a light wind session, this wing keeps you high and fast.

  • OPTIMIZED AIRFOIL SHAPE

    The hydrodynamic profile is tuned to maximize lift-to-drag efficiency across the full span. The tip geometry — thin profile with a controlled curvature — minimizes drag at hi speed and prevents ventilation even during aggressive rail-to-rail transitions.

  • PREPREG HI MODULUS CARBON CONSTRUCTION

    Because of the high aspect ratio, the layup has been at the core of this project from the start. MJ40 and MJ60 carbon at 0° and ±45° orientation are combined to handle bending and torsional loads, with additional  unidirectional high-modulus reinforcements on the critical areas. The result is an exceptionally stiff wing that responds instantly to rider input, with zero noticeable flex, even in hard carving turns under full load.

    The Flying Fish HA weighs between 0.96 and 1.50 kg depending on size, delivering an unmatched weight-to-performance ratio.
